The testing of Fine Aggregate Matrix (FAM) is gaining wide attention in the asphalt pavement research community since this phase is considered the most representative one of the overall asphalt mixture response. Moreover, it is characterized by a notable testing efficiency. In this study, an experimental campaign has been carried out on FAM specimens to investigate their rheological behavior within the linear viscoelastic range over a wide range of testing temperatures and frequencies. The experimental data, in terms of complex shear modulus and phase angle, were modelled with the 2S2P1D model. Results highlighted that the 2S2P1D model simulates in an excellent way the linear viscoelastic properties of FAM, both made with unmodified and modified binders. For each tested FAM the Time-Temperature Superposition principle was validated as well.
