The principle of solidarity concerns the very foundation of international law as it is not only a legal principle, but also depends on ethical and religious grounds. It can be viewed from different perspectives in Eu law too. The Lisbon Treaty establishes three dimensions: solidarity among Member States, between member States and individuals, and between generations. In this chapter I will focus on how this principle works with regards to religious issues at the Eu institutional level, between the Eu and Churches and other established communities.

Abstract
The principle of solidarity concerns the very foundation of international law as it is not only a legal principle, but also depends on ethical and religious grounds. It can be viewed from different perspectives in Eu law too. The Lisbon Treaty establishes three dimensions: solidarity among Member States, between member States and individuals, and between generations. In this chapter I will focus on how this principle works with regards to religious issues at the Eu institutional level, between the Eu and Churches and other established communities.File in questo prodotto:
