Three new sesterterpenes (1-3), and one new diterpene (4) were isolated from the aerial parts of Salvia aethiopis L. (Lamiaceae), together with two known sesterterpenes, and four diterpenes. Their structural elucidation was accomplished by extensive spectroscopic methods including 1D (1H, 13C, 13C DEPT, TOCSY, NOESY) and 2D NMR expts. (DQF-COSY, HSQC, HMBC, ROESY), as well as ESIMS and chem. anal.
