The aim of the study was to evaluate the growth rate and slaughtering traits of MD*GFM crosses. The absolute LW of adult hybrids was lower than MD and was very similar to the GFM adult weight. The growth rate was very rapid and the birds obtained 80% of their adult weight on the 8th week and 90% on the 9th week. At 25 weeks of age a sample of MD*GFM was slaughtered. The breast muscles of adult birds represented over 30% of RCC. On the 6th -7th week when RCC represented 50-60% of the adult RCC, the TLM represented 75-90% of adult TLM weight.
