Abstract

The study focuses on some reproductive and behavioural aspects of N. norvegicus in the northern Tyrrhenian Sea. Berried females were very abundant in autumn-winter; these specimens increase their burrowing behaviour in this period. This means a shift of the sex ratio towards males in the trawl catches. The size at first maturity for females was 27,1 mm carapace length.
