The NA62 experiment at CERN aims at measuring the ultra-rare kaon decay K(+) --> pi(+)nu(nu) over bar with a decay in flight technique. The nature of the experiment puts stringent requirements on the trigger and data acquisition system, which is being developed exploiting in part existing solutions.
