Twenty new pregnane glycosides were isolated from the whole plant of Caralluma negevensis. Their structures were elucidated by extensive spectroscopic methods including 1D-(H-1, C-13, C-13 DEPT, TOCSY, ROESY) and 2D-NMR experiments (DQF-COSY, HSQC, HMBC, HOHAHA) as well as ESI-MS analysis. Pregnane glycosides were tested for their cytotoxic and genotoxic activity.
