Abstract

In a group of girls with Turner's syndrome we evaluated the effect of the administration of pirenzepine, an anticholinergic substance, on GH secretion in response to L-Dopa and insulin-tolerance test. Our results demonstrated that pirenzepine was able to block GH release, showing an involvement of the cholinergic mechanism in GH secretion regulation in subjects with Turner's syndrome.
