A continuous identification method, based on the so-called recursive modulating functions approach is developed for monitoring the stator resistance of inductor motors both in steady state and during transient. The knowledge of the stator resistance can be used to estimate the temperature of the stator windings. This is very important for minimizing thermal overheating of the machine and consequently to reduce the deterioration of the stator winding insulation, i.e. a reduction of the useful life of the motor. Only measurements of the stator currents and voltages and rotor speed are required. The main feature of the proposed procedure is the possibility of estimating stator resistance without measuring the rotor flux. Simulation results show the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.

Abstract
Simulation results show the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
