An Anonymous clone containing a (TG)13 Microsatellites was isolated from a bovine genomic Sau3A size selected (approx.500pb) pGEM-4-Z library by hybridization to poly (dC-dT). Primers for polymerase chai reaction (PCR) were designed to amplify the region containing this microsatellite. The size of the PCR product was shown to be polymorphic by electrophoresis in a denaturing 5% polyacrylamide gel on a panel of unrelated animals. The sequence of this microsatellite has been submitted to EMBL data library (Accession Number X67822).
