Limited studies have been carried out to investigate the use of 1,3-1,6 β-glucan on fish larvae and in particular regarding method of administration and effects. For these reasons, the main object of the present study was to detect the effects of the administration of 1,3-1,6 β-glucans (extracted from yeast cell wall) enriched rotifers on sea bream larvae. Results showed a positive effect of the administration of 1,3-1,6 β-glucan on larval survival rate at 18 dph and on UIA-N exposure resistance. This positive effects seems to be more effective when stress conditions are prolonged overtime.

Abstract
