This paper describes a model for the evaluation of the equilibrium properties and transport coefficients of gaseous N-H systems over the temperature and pressure ranges of interest for performance analysis of arcjet thrusters operating with Hydrazine decomposition products in the presence of chemical and ionization reactions. The propellant is treated as a multicomponent perfect gas mixture whose composition is determined by solving the simultaneous equilibrium equations at any given temperature and pressure. The energy, enthalpy and density of the mixture are computed using a partition function formulation with the inclusion of traslational and internal contributions. The transport properties are evaluated by means of suitable gas kinetic models. The model is first applied to the simultaneous dissociation and ionization of pure Hydrogen and Nitrogen and successfully validated against relevant data from the literature. The results similarly obtained for mixtures of Hydrazine decomposition products are consistent with intuition and the scant experimental data known to the authors.
