We are developing a digital radiography system based on double-sided microstrip silicon detectors for medical imaging applications. The detector interstrip pitch is 100 mu m for both sides. To cope with the requirements of low photon energy (9-22 keV) and high detected fluxes (10(5) s(-1) mm(-2)) a fully VLSI Front-End and Data Acquisition System have been developed.
