This paper describes a study aimed to evaluate performance-related properties of cement treated mixtures containing high percentage of Reclaimed Asphalt Pavement (RAP). The research was organized in two phases: a laboratory study to design and characterize mixtures and a test track to evaluate short and long term performance of designed mixtures under real traffic conditions. The test track was divided into four sections, each one characterized by a different combination of base and subbase mixture. Short and long-term changes in structural performance were monitored periodically to accurately assess changes in material properties using LWD and FWD. Results indicate that after 15 months the replacement of virgin material with RAP in cement treated base mixtures, if correctly designed can be a viable solution for RAP recycling without affecting mixture performance.
