This paper focuses on implementation and testing of an unconventional power modulator for mono-phase a.c. resistive heaters, previously proposed and analysed under the theoretical point of view. Such modulator permits a linear regulation of heating power ensuring an almost unity fundamental power factor with low distortion of line current. Some experimental results coming from the test of a prototype are reported.

Abstract
