Correlation between blood pressure values and ophthalmolocig parameters in severly obese patients before bariatric surgery; although all the ophthalmologic parameters were within normal limits, the inverse correlation betweenBP and retinal nerve fiber layer thickness could explain the major susceptibility of obese patients to develop glaucomatous optic nerve head damage. Certainly additional datais needed to confirm our first impression and also it would be of great value to evaluate the same parameters after bariatric surgery.

Abstract
Correlation between blood pressure values and ophthalmolocig parameters in severly obese patients before bariatric surgery; although all the ophthalmologic parameters were within normal limits, the inverse correlation betweenBP and retinal nerve fiber layer thickness could explain the major susceptibility of obese patients to develop glaucomatous optic nerve head damage. Certainly additional datais needed to confirm our first impression and also it would be of great value to evaluate the same parameters after bariatric surgery.File in questo prodotto:
