Western regional contexts and their interconnectivity in the Late Roman Mediterranean: some case studies

Some significant contexts in Italy, Gaul and the Iberian Peninsula will be analysed in order to stress their peculiarities in the local production and consumption of amphorae and coarse and cooking wares and their interconnectivity in Late Roman sea routes. Regional perspectives and Mediterranean trends will be studied in a combined approach to try to reconstruct the complex economic dynamics from the late 3rd-early 4th century up to the late 7th-early 8th century, between the Late Roman and the early Medieval Period.
