This book complement the JSME series on Power Engineering. The JSME series covers all major nuclear power plants except Pressurized Heavy Water Reactors (PHWR). Since PHWR’s generate almost 15% electricity generated by nuclear power plants and are employed in number of countries, it is important to have this book as part of the JSME series. In my personal opinion, the PHWR should find place in the current Elsevier publication plan either as part of the JSME series (and it will make it more comprehensive) or as a standalone book
