The main purpose of the proposed course is to give an overview of the existing mathematical models of traffic in telecommunication systems, to show the sources of their origin and possible applications. Meets the requirements of the Federal state educational standard of higher education of the last generation. The publication is intended for undergraduate and graduate students in the areas of higher education 01.03.02 (01.04.02) "Applied mathematics and Informatics", 02.03.02 (02.04.02) "Fundamental Informatics and information technology", 02.03.01 (02.04.01) "Mathematics and computer science", and can also be used in the preparation of specialists in other areas where subjects with similar or similar content are studied. We hope that the publication will also attract the attention of graduate students and specialists interested in mathematical modeling of processes in telecommunications networks. The course material is based on traditional courses of higher mathematics, as well as courses in probability theory and the theory of random processes in the volume offered in technical universities.
