In this paper the topic of production of thermal energy from solar energy is considered. This represent a quite relevant topic for an overall containment of the consumption of fossil fuels and the resulting objective of reducing the energy degradation. In particular, the paper outlines a thermoeconomic design methodology that takes into account all the problem variables (solar source, system architecture, design constraints, load type and distribution, design criteria and optimization criteria). For this reason, all the elements listed above have been analyzed including the related economic aspects. The key point of the methodology consists in the development of a simplified thermo-economic criterion, which considers, in its structure, the presence of an economic value of the irreversibilities produced by the system and connected with the operation of the auxiliary heater. The results of the application in a particular case are shown at the end.

Abstract
The results of the application in a particular case are shown at the end.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
