Development and psychometric features of an adapted Attributional Style Questionnaire (ASQ) for adolescents (ASQ-A) are described, using two samples of 547 and 256 Spanish secondary-school students. In Study 1, an initial pool of 147 items was reduced to 54. In Study 2, Internal, Stable and Global Subscales showed very good reliability, factorial validity and association with maladaptive mood ratings. In Study 3, the regression analyses indicated good predictive validity for attributions that adolescents actually made in a stressful situation. Study 4 showed, over an 8-month period, that changes in Stable and Global Subscales depended on the level of negative life events experienced. Results of these studies show that the ASQ-A is a good instrument to assess attributional style in adolescents.

Abstract
Results of these studies show that the ASQ-A is a good instrument to assess attributional style in adolescents.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
