Abstract
Among the many teachers expelled out of the Italian University system as a consequence of the racial laws of 1938 there are also about twenty physicists and astronomers. We must add to the list some mathematicians, chemists and engineers, often directly involved with researces in Physics, and also several physicists that left Italy spontaneously as a consequence of the situation. We analyze the vicissitudes of these scholars, with special emphasis on Emilio Segré and on some other first-class scientists, like Rossi and Racah.File in questo prodotto:
