This work aims to add new information about the Casa delle Anfore at Marsiliana d’Albegna (Manciano, GR), a Late-Archaic building located in the suburban area of the Etruscan centre. The excavation let the identification of three probable phases of the building, inhabited by the mid-6th century to the end of the 5th century BC. The discovery of a silos, placed close to the northern side of the likely inner courtyard, offers some new perspectives for better interpreting this structure’s function and its changes along the time. The stratigraphic analysis and the data collected by the pottery found within this cavity, have made it possible to postulate the existence of at least two levels of use: firstly as a repository for food in a chronological range no later than 5th century BC and secondly, once fallen into disuse, as a pit for discarding building stuff after mid- 5th century BC, presumably related to restructuring works of the main building.
