The article deals with the Bulgarian tautologies X si e X, which has been investigated on the basis of the “Bulgarian National Corpus”. The main purpose of the present paper was to investigate the role of stereotypical knowledge, context and syntactic form in order to give an interpretation of the nominal tautologies. The aim of the work was also to explore the relationship between stereotypical knowledge and frequency of use of nominal tautologies.
