This work proposes an intercomparison of the electromagnetic energy absorption by different gender and conformation human body models, when exposed to high-intensity broadband signals devices. In order to obtain the best estimation of the actual whole-body averaged (WBA) SAR values, a realistic configuration has been simulated. It consists of a typical scenario in which an adult is carrying a backpack device with antennas placed close to his neck and shoulders. This kind of instrumentation is commonly used in military equipment as backpack systems for communication purposes.

Abstract

This work proposes an intercomparison of the electromagnetic energy absorption by different gender and conformation human body models, when exposed to high-intensity broadband signals devices. In order to obtain the best estimation of the actual whole-body averaged (WBA) SAR values, a realistic configuration has been simulated. It consists of a typical scenario in which an adult is carrying a backpack device with antennas placed close to his neck and shoulders. This kind of instrumentation is commonly used in military equipment as backpack systems for communication purposes.
