The book provides considerations, discussions and empirical research-based evidence about professional identity in the digital age and contemporary society. It discusses a conceptual framework of professional identity construction based on the sociological perspective of Symbolic Interactionism, and examines theoretical and empirical topics on virtual professional identities of Millennials and Generation X, entangled and disentangled online interactions, construction of professional passion in digital times, adult self-regulated learning, and relationship between profession, work, Self, and social media. It shares empirical and conceptual research-based findings of the forms of mediated narratives, including the effects of these practices on different social media audience.
