To produce high-efficient electric cars one of the main innovations is the use of bio- composites, which are biodegradable materials that can be a valid alternative to fibers-reinforced plastics. They are nontoxic and recyclable because of their derivation from natural materials. The public demand for a sustainable environmental development has been the main driving factor of the present study. Innovation feeds the relationship between innovative companies and customers that confront each other on new challenges with demanding requirements. All these reasons have led to design a two-seats micro car with a bodywork in bio- composite material has been designed. The car has an electric propulsion and a high- end electronic equipment on board for a safe and sustainable urban mobility. The project includes also the construction of a car shelter, or garage, with photovoltaic tiles plus power electronics for recharging the full electric car battery and an off- grid system, in order to define a whole zero emissions mobility system.
