The background of the project could be presented so - following the Fukushima accident, it has become more important to further reinforce safety for existing and future Nuclear Power Plants vs. accidents with significant damage to the nuclear fuel, called Severe Accidents. On this basis, the goals of the project are the severe accident analysis, their management as well as the emergency preparedness. MUSA has received funding from the EURATOM research and training programme of H2020 is launched in June 2019, coordinated by Centro de Investigaciones Energéticas, Medioambientales y Tecnológicas (CIEMAT) in Madrid, Spain, and has 28 partners from 16 counties, including Canada, China, Japan, South Korea and USA. The present paper focuses on the subjects, the management, approach and methodology, specific MUSA impacts, and generic expected outcomes of the project, briefly described.
