This paper presents an analytical approach to control the response of conformal magnetic metasurfaces when excited by a near-field source. We first describe the general framework adopted to manipulate the metasurface response in terms of currents amplitude and phase circulating in its unit cells. We therefore develop a numerical test-case aimed at eliminating the truncation effects when a curved metasurface is illuminated by a closely placed RF source, obtaining satisfying results. The proposed methodology allows to overcome hypotheses on impinging plane wave and planarity, generalizing and facilitating the design of this particular type of curved metasurfaces.

Abstract
This paper presents an analytical approach to control the response of conformal magnetic metasurfaces when excited by a near-field source. We first describe the general framework adopted to manipulate the metasurface response in terms of currents amplitude and phase circulating in its unit cells. We therefore develop a numerical test-case aimed at eliminating the truncation effects when a curved metasurface is illuminated by a closely placed RF source, obtaining satisfying results. The proposed methodology allows to overcome hypotheses on impinging plane wave and planarity, generalizing and facilitating the design of this particular type of curved metasurfaces.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
