This paper describes the automated nonlinear model updating procedure for masonry structures implemented in the NOSA-ITACA code. The algorithm, aimed at matching numerical and experimental natural frequencies and mode shapes, combines nonlinear static analysis, linear perturbation and modal analysis and allows fine-tuning the free parameters of the model. The numerical method is applied to two simple case studies, which prove its effectiveness.

Abstract
This paper describes the automated nonlinear model updating procedure for masonry structures implemented in the NOSA-ITACA code. The algorithm, aimed at matching numerical and experimental natural frequencies and mode shapes, combines nonlinear static analysis, linear perturbation and modal analysis and allows fine-tuning the free parameters of the model. The numerical method is applied to two simple case studies, which prove its effectiveness.File in questo prodotto:
