Abstract
In the present study, we examine the main argument coding systems, in a typological perspective, and address the question of the relationship between semantically based and syntactically based alignments. Also, we propose an explanation of the well-known instability of the argument coding systems across languages, based on the interface between formal (specifically, morphosyntactic) and functional (specifically, semantic) features.File in questo prodotto:
