Grid resilience is becoming an important topic of research in the power community, as due to climate changes occurrences of natural disasters are becoming more frequent. Such unwanted atmospheric events can lead to serious damages to the power grids. This paper proposes a review of the state-of-The-Art of the research work about how to improve the grid resilience in power systems. Firstly, it defines the concept of resilience and describes classic methodologies of grid resilience assessment through the analysis of the resilience curve-related disturbance events. Secondly, it discusses various implementations of approaches to improve grid resilience. Finally, it provides a generalized view of strategies for improving resilience leveraging on the presence of electric vehicles and charging infrastructure.
