This paper investigates the angular stability of a FSS based on the geometry of open asymmetrical trapezoidal rings. The initial equations for the first and second resonant frequencies were presented. An FSS prototype was fabricated and characterized, verifying a good agreement between the numerical and measured results. The FSS showed angular stability for incidence angles of up to 30°. In addition, a comparison was made between the initial equations and the numerical and measured results, showing a maximum percentage difference of 6.25%, which is a good result.

Abstract
This paper investigates the angular stability of a FSS based on the geometry of open asymmetrical trapezoidal rings. The initial equations for the first and second resonant frequencies were presented. An FSS prototype was fabricated and characterized, verifying a good agreement between the numerical and measured results. The FSS showed angular stability for incidence angles of up to 30°. In addition, a comparison was made between the initial equations and the numerical and measured results, showing a maximum percentage difference of 6.25%, which is a good result.File in questo prodotto:
