Abstract
New dataset revealed that the Brazilian Equatorial Margin (BEM) slope`s adjacent to Potiguar Basin is marked by a variable seabed morphology. Canyons and their associated submarine channels, channels trubutaries, sediment waves, cyclic steeps, landslides and gullies are some other features observed coexisting from rectilinear to sinuous, and are often associated to meander cut-of strcutures. Some of those submarine channels are the deep-water continuation of fluvial-related submarine canyons in which heads are located on the shelf-break, while others are connected to slope-confined canyons associated with gravitational mass-wasting.File in questo prodotto:
