The Euro-Russian Entente is centred on the political-diplomatic, socio-economic and military-technological relations between the European Community (EC)/European Union (EU) and the Soviet Union (USSR)/Russian Federation (RF) in the dramatic transition between the mid-1980s and mid-1990s. Adopting an interdisciplinary approach and relying on a variety of methodologies and sources, the volume aims at analysing three distinct but closely intertwined dynamics: the evolution of Moscow’s perceptions and attitudes towards the idea of Europe and, more specifically, towards the European Community/European Union; the evolution of Brussels’ perceptions and attitudes towards the Soviet Union and, after its collapse, the Russian Federation; the concrete ways in which these two actors established closer relations over the period considered.

Abstract
The Euro-Russian Entente is centred on the political-diplomatic, socio-economic and military-technological relations between the European Community (EC)/European Union (EU) and the Soviet Union (USSR)/Russian Federation (RF) in the dramatic transition between the mid-1980s and mid-1990s. Adopting an interdisciplinary approach and relying on a variety of methodologies and sources, the volume aims at analysing three distinct but closely intertwined dynamics: the evolution of Moscow’s perceptions and attitudes towards the idea of Europe and, more specifically, towards the European Community/European Union; the evolution of Brussels’ perceptions and attitudes towards the Soviet Union and, after its collapse, the Russian Federation; the concrete ways in which these two actors established closer relations over the period considered.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
