In a lost fragmentary inscription from Marruvium (CIL IX, 3664), instead of the consular date of AD 18, there is the rank of "praefectus sagittar[iorum qui militaverunt sub] Germanico Caesare in [Germania]. The text seems a sort of "elogium" of an anonynous "eques", entrusted three times with enlistments among the Marsi under Augustus, Tiberius and Caligula.
