Electromagnetic bandgap (EBG) and absorption properties of high impedance structure (HIS) have been analyzed. These properties have been derived by using surface impedance method and transient resonance methods. The analysis is carried out in the ANSYS HFSS software 19.0. For HIS with vias radius of 0.01 mm and 0.05 mm, the overlapping of absorption band and EBG are obtained as 1.16 GHz and 1.25 GHz, respectively.
