We discuss the structure of the chiral anomaly in supersymmetric gauge theories in both the manifestly SUSY covariant approach and the Wess-Zumino gauge. In four dimensions we derive the SUSY anomaly in the W-Z gauge from the SUSY invariant expression of the chiral anomaly. We give a prescription for the computation of the SUSY anomaly in higher dimensions and present the resulting expression in six dimensions.
