This book provides a new critical edition of the Eryxias, an often neglected dialogue concerning the relationship between wealth and virtue transmitted into Plato’s corpus, but probably written in the Ancient Academy after the founder’s death. This new edition, which is founded on a complete revision of the manuscript tradition, is accompanied by an Italian translation, a complete introduction and a detailed commentary, examining the philological, literary and philosophical aspects of the text.
