The American NSLT trial and several European studies have demonstrated that annual LDCT in heavy smokers result in a 20% reduction in lung cancer mortality. Based on this evidence, LCS protocols are being implemented in many countries, including Italy. Participants in lung cancer screening programs may exhibit different characteristic sdepending on the selection criteria. The aims of this abstract are two fold. Firstly, to compare the demographic, clinical, and smoking characteristics of participants in two different LCS protocols conducted in the same center (Pisa, Italy) in two different areas (ITL1 in 2004 and ITL2 in 2022). Secondly, to assess whether LDCT positivity at baseline is associated with the different characteristics of the two populations

Abstract
Secondly, to assess whether LDCT positivity at baseline is associated with the different characteristics of the two populationsI documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
