Abstract
The project ‘The Certosa of Calci (Pisa) and its transformations’ started in 2018 to study the monastery in the long term in relation to the surrounding environment on a landscape scale. Garden Archaeology’s interdisciplinary research focused on the cells of the Prior, Apothecary and Master Fathers, seeing gardens as a co-creation made by human and non-human agencies. This paper resumes the main results, providing some new preliminary readings on the field of sensory relations, practices and daily life of the Carthusian community that emerge from these contexts.File in questo prodotto:
