This Reprint of the second volume of the Land Special Issue “Archaeological Landscape and Settlement” consists of eleven research papers providing landscape archaeology insights independently of the geomorphological and altitude locations of a wide variety of sites, their characteristics, functions, the construction methods of their structures, and their chronology in a global perspective. The Reprint consists of multidisciplinary papers that present and discuss many different topics related to prehistoric and historical archaeology in countries that range from Mediterranean Europe to Africa, Central and Eastern Asia and South America, from the Middle Palaeolithic to Medieval and subrecent times, and from seaside landscapes to the highland zones of Mongolian Central Asia and the Andean chain, which were exploited for economic subsistence and defensive purposes. Considering such a wide range of topics, the Reprint provides cases that show how landscape archaeological methods have been employed by different authors to interpret different events that took place throughout the world in a variety of highly different territories.
