The focus of my study will be to identify the reasons blacks would voluntarily "return" to the southern United States in the past thirty years. Through my research,I explore the dynamics which have led to a push/pull model that I feel would better enable me to understand the factors that have precipitated this specific migration pattern. First of all,new globalization and crisis of industry and the end of the classes (blu collars versus white collars)have influenced migrants. On the other side, southern states offer more opportunities of changing the quality of life through a different cost of living and a new employment in rural areas.

Abstract
The focus of my study will be to identify the reasons blacks would voluntarily "return" to the southern United States in the past thirty years. Through my research,I explore the dynamics which have led to a push/pull model that I feel would better enable me to understand the factors that have precipitated this specific migration pattern. First of all,new globalization and crisis of industry and the end of the classes (blu collars versus white collars)have influenced migrants. On the other side, southern states offer more opportunities of changing the quality of life through a different cost of living and a new employment in rural areas.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
