This paper investigates the effects of the application of new Information and Communication and Technologies (ICT) on product innovation in Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). Following a growing field of literature, the hypothesis is that most of the potential benefits from these emerging technologies come from their support to the process of knowledge creation and management. Research questions are derived from an analysis of the existing literature and tested through evidence from an undergoing field study on 41 SMEs in North and Central Italy. The overall objective is to derive implication and applicable knowledge concerning how to use technologies and redesign the Product Innovation process to take full advantage of the potential benefits of emerging technologies.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
