The seismic hazard studies carried out at the scale of district area, as commonly known, aim at preventing damages from local site response. These studies involve numerous disciplines whose specific competences are useful to describe the complex phenomenon such as free field seismic response. The VEL project, supported by the Tuscany Region, has been carrying out by means of this multidisciplinary standpoint in order to define the seismic risk level in the most active seismic areas of Tuscany (Garfagnana, Lunigiana, Amiata, Valtiberina and Mugello). In this work results from in situ measurements and numerical analyses at Fivizzano and Licciana Nardi villages are presented below and discussed. The seismic investigations in Lunigiana, where the villages are situated, involved historical, seismological, geophysical, geological and geotechnical studies which accurately reconstruct soil deposit models to be implemented into two-dimensional numerical dynamic analyses for local site response previsions.

Abstract
The seismic investigations in Lunigiana, where the villages are situated, involved historical, seismological, geophysical, geological and geotechnical studies which accurately reconstruct soil deposit models to be implemented into two-dimensional numerical dynamic analyses for local site response previsions.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
