The article analyses organizational ambidexterity – as defined in terms of exploration and exploitation attainments of knowledge and innovation - its antecedents in terms of organizational context and structure and its consequences in terms of financial performance. To the best of our knowledge, it is the first attempt to test the mediation effect of knowledge between the antecedents and innovation ambidexterity. Based on a 112 response survey, findings , provide empirical evidence of the hypothesis and confirm the positive influence of ambidexterity on financial performance.
