This study is part of the area of Environmental Social Psychology research (Canter, 1988; Bonnes & Secchiaroli, 1995), defined in the international literature as "Green psychology" or “Natural psychology" (see. Pol, 1993; Gifford, 1995); it investigates the relationships people have with the natural environment (Altman & Wohlwill, 1983; Knopf, 1987) also in consideration of those part of the urban environment (Bruce, Hull & Harvey, 1989; Herzog, 1989; Ardone & Bonnes, 1991). The major goal of this work was to more thoroughly investigate a line of research to integrate the study of the human-social dimension (regarding aspects of inhabitants' "environmental perception") with that of the natural-type characteristics of the city (in particular, the city of Rome) (see Bonnes, 1987; 1992; 1993). In this context, a study of the relationship people have with urban and peri-urban green in the city of Rome was undertaken. In particular, inhabitants' environmental attitudes were investigated, with the final goal of developing a scale for measurement of attitudes toward green and Nature in the city.

Abstract
In particular, inhabitants' environmental attitudes were investigated, with the final goal of developing a scale for measurement of attitudes toward green and Nature in the city.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
