We establish some Korovkin-type theorems for the Dirichlet operator associated with a strictly elliptic differential operator L, that is, the operator which gives the solution of the Dirichlet problem associated with the differential operator L and with continuous boundary data. We also give some applications of these results in order to approximate the solutions of the Dirichlet problem via an exhaustive method or by iterations of volume means.'

Abstract
