In this paper the d-q model of an induction machine with two three phase stator winding sets is presented. A direct self control (DSC) strategy applied to the proposed machine leads to a reduced pulsation of the electromagnetic torque as well as to a minimization of the machine current distortion. An analysis of the presented results evidences their importance for electrical traction applications.

Abstract

In this paper the d-q model of an induction machine with two three phase stator winding sets is presented. A direct self control (DSC) strategy applied to the proposed machine leads to a reduced pulsation of the electromagnetic torque as well as to a minimization of the machine current distortion.
