The present work is aimed at assessing the prediction capability of the TRANSURANUS code for the performance analysis loss-of-coolant accident (LOCA) scenario. The analysis refers to LOCA integral test results of Argonne National Laboratory (ANL) performed with special focus on embrittlement effect of various cladding alloys. Four tests were conducted with high-burnup fuel rod samples from Limerick fuel rods (ICL series) and as fabricated fuel rods (OCL series). TRANSURANUS was able to correctly predict the cladding failure time and reason. Rather the oxidation is underestimated because the code does not account for contribution coming from the inner cladding surface after its failure
